Christian Charvet

Christian Charvet was born in Paris in 1940.  The artist’s work has evolved through three periods: 1) the “Blue Period” (1970’s), which was characterized by monochrome coloration; 2) the “Blue Period Continuation” (1980’s), in which social groups appear, represented within a carnival theme, but still monochrome and cold looking; and 3) the “Red Period” (1990’s), in which color tones change and he introduces a series of studies on painters and poets.  Most notable is his study of the poet Arthur Rimbaud.  Charvet’s work was recently honored by the French Postal Service, which issued a stamp with Rimbaud’s image.

Lori Daniels & Stephen White

Based out of their farm in Mapleton, Illinois, noted furniture and folk art dealer Stephen R. White removes, collects and assembles tin pieces, mostly from commercial buildings destined to be demolished.  Artist Lori Daniels then hand mixes paints, resins and glazes for each unique art tin piece, producing a tile-like effect.   The ceiling panels date from 1860 to 1900 and represent a rare piece of American architecture and decorative history.  Many display botanical or classical designs in the Arts & Crafts, Victorian or Art Nouveau styles.  Each panel is a one-of-a kind original, signed and dated.  While the antique tin art was originally destined for outdoor use, it is increasingly displayed indoors.  If the panels are used outdoors, care must be taken to preserve the finish from further rusting through the application of several coats of a clear sealant.

Alexander Zerbé

Alexandre Zerbé was born in Montreal, Canada in 1974 and completed his Bachelor’s in Fine Art at Concordia University.  The artist’s interest is to follow a continuity in the figurative lyricism of his acrylics.  Lyricism…because the scenes he depicts always seem to contain a sundry object that appears to the spectator as if voluntarily placed, thereby leaving room for interpretation.  He especially enjoys putting emphasis on the impression of décor, often in playful atmospheres.  Zerbé has exhibited throughout Canada.  His work is widely held in the United States and Canada.
