Christian Nesvadba was born in 1977 in Vienna. He is the son of the well-known painter Gerhard Nesvadba, whose roots originate from a family with a long artistic heritage. After elementary and high school, he studied engineering and his professors were much impressed by his talent for drawing, including the observation that "even his technical drawings have an artistic value". His style features florals in a vibrant and bold color scheme as well as landscapes with wonderfully composed colors.

Isy Ochoa was born in 1961 and is a native of Paris. She works in her picturesque studio in the middle of the city, affording her a bit of country charm and open air, amidst the City of Lights. She has degrees from the Ecole Superieure d’Arts Graphiques, the Atelier Met de Penninghen and the Academie Julian. Isy is widely known for her work with cats and the brilliance of her colors. She has illustrated post cards, stationary, calendars and posters. Her work captures the energy and pleasures of life as we would try to hold them in our most vivid and cherished memories. Isy’s work has been sold at auction through Christie’s Auction House (the youngest artist ever!) and she has a strong following in Europe and the United States.

Jamie Paterno ranks among the major potential painters to appear in recent years. Born in Argentina in 1977, she studied art in Buenos Aires as well as in Lima, Peru. The essence of Paterno’s special technique lies in her use of bold color. Loose, playful and painterly brush strokes are also her signature. Paterno’s subjects are musical still-lifes and figures stretched, exaggerated and spread out over the canvas in all directions, creating fun, whimsical and refreshing compositions. The artist has found an enthusiastic following of admirers in South America as well as in the United States. Jamie works from her home/studio in Argentina.

Dmitriy Proshkin was born in 1973 in Ufa, Russia. He studied at Ufa’s College of Art between 1988 and 1992, and upon passing the entrance board, began his five year study at Ufa’s Art Institute. Proshkin’s work is heavily influenced by the masters of landscape, including such great artists as Claude Monet, Pissaro, Sisley and Marke. He has also extensively studied the Russian masters, including Korovin, Shiskin, Savrosov, Vassilev and Levitan. The elevated tradition of the Russian masters has become fundamental to him and has served as a guidebook in his own creative development. Dmitriy’s work can be found in private collections in Russia and throughout Europe and the United States.

Sarah Van Beckum was born in Hartford, Wisconsin in 1954. She was educated at the University of Wisconsin (Madison), as well as the Sorbonne in Paris and La Ibero Americano in Mexico. Sarah’s heavy palatte knife technique and exaggerated botanicals and still life images create a very distinctive, “artsy” style. Her work has evolved from mixed media using found objects to acrylic on wood panels, often adding collage accents for patterns and texture. Her work can be found in galleries in the United States and Europe.

Vitaliy Mikhalov was born in the Soviet Union in 1969. He graduated from the Moscow University of Art in 1990 and continued his studies at the Kharkov Art and Industrial Institute. His work is inspired by the great works of the late 18th and 19th century styles and is distinctive because of the foreground focal point that captures the eye, the mind, and the soul of the observer. He has also produced many landscapes of the countryside of France in his travels. Mikhalov’s work is in the permanent collections of the Art Museums of Zaporazhyl and Dneproptrosk. He has exhibited in Eastern and Western Europe, as well as Israel, Canada and the United States.

Lori Daniels & Stephen White
|
|
Based out of their farm in Mapleton, Illinois, noted furniture and folk art dealer Stephen R. White removes, collects and assembles tin pieces, mostly from commercial buildings destined to be demolished. Artist Lori Daniels then hand mixes paints, resins and glazes for each unique art tin piece, producing a tile-like effect. The ceiling panels date from 1860 to 1900 and represent a rare piece of American architecture and decorative history. Many display botanical or classical designs in the Arts & Crafts, Victorian or Art Nouveau styles. Each panel is a one-of-a kind original, signed and dated. While the antique tin art was originally destined for outdoor use, it is increasingly displayed indoors. If the panels are used outdoors, care must be taken to preserve the finish from further rusting through the application of several coats of a clear sealant.

Alexandre Zerbé was born in Montreal, Canada in 1974 and completed his Bachelor’s in Fine Art at Concordia University. The artist’s interest is to follow a continuity in the figurative lyricism of his acrylics. Lyricism…because the scenes he depicts always seem to contain a sundry object that appears to the spectator as if voluntarily placed, thereby leaving room for interpretation. He especially enjoys putting emphasis on the impression of décor, often in playful atmospheres. Zerbé has exhibited throughout Canada. His work is widely held in the United States and Canada.
